Over 66% of A level students achieving A*-C grades. Our BTEC students did exceptionally well with 93% of students gaining Distinction*-Merit grades and 56% with Distinction*-Distinction. Examples include Ella Trounson (Psychology, Exeter University), Michael Hart (Politics and International relations, Southampton University) and Hayley Mclaren (Archaeology, Southampton University). Overall the number of students obtaining places at University has risen by 27% on last year’s figure with over two-thirds of the cohort now off to University, 85% of our students achieved their first choice University.
Also a huge congratulations to those students who have obtained their Higher Level Apprenticeship choices including Rhys Higgins who is joining DSTL.
We would like to wish Aidan, Zoe, Hayley, Beth, Nathan, Amana and Sola all the very best for their China Internships in our three schools in Tianjin and Shanghai. With 11% of our students gaining this opportunity we have again seen an increase on last year. Students’ experience will vary to include classroom teaching, running extra-curricular activities and departmental support.
Congratulations to all our students and we wish them well with all their future career paths.
