Welcome Back!

We would like to wish all our students, staff, parents and friends a warm welcome back. We hope you all had a fantastic summer break. The new term has started with lots of exciting opportunities and events on the horizon. We wish you all the very best for this new academic year.

To kick us off, yesterday we welcomed to the Academy our new year 7s. You could sense the excitement and apprehension in the theatre as they were greeted by our Executive Headteacher Ms Abrilli Philip and Senior Deputy Headteacher Mr Rob Wood, who explained that there are 200 school weeks until they sit their GCSE exams. The work starts now and the students have been challenged to be the best and do the best that they can.

We asked the students what they are looking forward to most about coming to the Academy and the responses were wide ranging. We had many subjects picked out which included sport, art, radio, photography and singing. One student said that he was looking forward to being able to ride his bike to school, and another said she couldn’t wait to make new friends.

To all our new year 7s, thank you for joining us. We hope you enjoyed the afternoon and we are all very much looking forward to working with you over the next 200 weeks. We know already that you are going to be amazing!
