The Wellington Academy will provide 100 boarding places for boys and girls from Years 7 to 13. Whilst the educational offer remains without direct cost to parents, there will be a charge for the boarding provision. The fee will be in line with other state run boarding schools.
Boarders will be housed in brand new purpose-built residential accommodation on the Academy campus. The new houses will be available for occupation in September 2011.
The accommodation will meet all of their everyday needs and be a home from home. Each of the planned two boarding house will be supervised by House Parents and a dedicated team of Tutors and House Staff who will be available 24 hours per day.
Boarders will be able to use leisure facilities at The Wellington Academy and there will be a dedicated programme of supervised evening and weekend activities. Some of which will be jointly undertaken with Wellington College.
