Welcome to the BTEC section of our website - here you will find a student handbook giving you some more information on the current BTEC programmes that are available, how BTEC works, what to expect and who’s who at the Academy. There is also a folder containing all the policies that we follow.

 

BTEC courses offer you an alternative way of studying to the traditional exam as they are 100% coursework - No exams. Most of the courses are undertaken over 2 years, although some are short 1 year courses.

 

BTEC courses are available at level 2 in KS4 and level 3 in KS5

 

You will find a copy of the student handbook in each subject area for you to look at, and the full centre handbook with all the policy documentation is held in the Exams Office. Please feel free to come in and ask for it.
