Remembrance Service 2017

Today we had our Remembrance Service to honour and remember the lives sacrificed in the service of our country, and those traumatised and injured in conflict. The service was conducted by The Venerable Alan Jeans, Archdeacon of Sarum and The Reverend Jimmy Holden. We were joined by Lt Col Jamie Balls, Garrison Commander, with representatives from the Garrison staff, WO2 Flynn, 26 Engr Regt RE with representatives from the Regiment, Mark Connelly - Mayor of Tidworth, Marc Read - Tidworth Area Community Liaison, Rosemary Meeke – Drumbeat and Chris Sturgess – BFBSWe. Student representatives from the following schools also joined us; The Wellington Primary, Clarendon Junior School, Castle Primary School, Zouch Primary School and Shipton Bellinger Primary School. It was a thought provoking service that gave the whole community a moment to reflect. Special thanks go to those students who performed readings of remembrance, and to all those who took part.
