On Friday 22nd March, some of our Year 7-11 girls took part in a 24 hour netball challenge. The first 20 minute half started at 8.30am and they continued throughout the day and night until 8.30am the next day, the girls scored a total of 825 goals.
The girls turned the gym into a sleeping area with sleeping bags and pillows (not that they slept much at all!) and the PE teaching classroom upstairs was set up with as a chill out so they could relax, eat and get ready for the next game.
The next month on Friday 29th April, 50 of our Year 7-11 boys took on the 24 hour football challenge. They started playing 5-a-side at 9am Friday and didnt stop until 9am Saturday morning, the boys played in 15 minute rotations and in total they scored 1207 goals.
The students were sponsored for the two challenges to raise money for the new rock climbing wall in the school.
